NM Sameer Mujumdar & FM Boris Privman tied for 1st in the Dr. Luvizminda Machan Open held March 23rd.

IM Jay Bonin, LM James West and expert Mauricio Camejo (re-entry) tied for 3rd.

Roshan Idnani, Dhruv Patel and Darshan Patel split the U2000 prize (pooled with the U1400). Thomas Elberling scored the biggest upset by beating West in round 2.

Mauricio Camejo won today's G/30. NM James West and Tony Norris tied for 2nd.

Bonin Wins Dr. Machan Open 17

IM Jay Bonin (2420) won yesterday's Dr. Luzivminda Open #17, yielding just 1 draw in 4 games. Mauricio Camejo (2146) was 2nd. LM Vladimir Polyakin (2102) was 3rd.

LM James West (2200), Thomas Elberling (2038) and John Moldovan (1797) tied for 4th. John also scored the biggest upset, with his 4th round win over Brian Arthur.

The event was submitted last night, at 8:34, and has been "queued for rating." When the USCF gets around to it, the event will appear here.

3-Way Tie In Saturday Swiss

LM James West, Mauricio Camejo and Lev Zilbermintz tied for 1st in yesterday's Saturday Swiss.

Rishi Rajendran was the U2100 winner. Fernando Saire (playing in his 1st tournament) and Carlos Rojas (in his 3rd event) split the U1900 prize (pooled with the U1700). Darshan Patel earned U1500 honors.

The event has been rated but isn't online yet. A message on the USCF TD/Affiliate page says "There was a problem with the latest rerate. We are performing another rerate, MSA should be caught back up again some time Saturday evening."

Expert Kevin Dresher won today's G/45 Swiss. Michael O'Connor and Lev Zilbermintz (re-entry) tied for 2nd.

Roshan Idnani and Taran Idnani earned the U2100 prize (pooled with the U1900) while U1700 honors (pooled with the U1500) went to Carlos Rojas, Dhruv Patel and Darshan Patel.

There were 14 players in all. Thanks to everyone for participating in the tournament and making it successful.
