Winter Camp Discounts
Our Winter Camp is fast approaching. This will be a week long camp beginning December 26 and running through Dec. 30. Grand Master Yudasin will be the head instructor and National Master Arthur Macaspac will be assisting.

ECC-Chess Mates Postponed Again
The match between Essex County College and Chess Mates has been postponed, again.
Sunday Open Quads Moving To Earlier Time
Beginning Sunday, January 1, we will be holding our Open G/30 Quads from 3-6 p.m., alongside our Scholastic G/30 Quads.
1st prize in each quad (Open & Scholastic) will now be $30 or a trophy. The entry fee remains at $10 for Chess Mates members/$15 for non-members.

Lessons For Advanced Players
Beginning in January, GM Leonid Yudasin's lessons for advanced players will take place from 6-7 p.m. every Sunday evening. The fee for the hour of instruction is $15.
ECC-Chess Mates Re-scheduled

New Tuesday Swiss
Beginning October 4th, Chess Mates will be running month-long Tuesday Swiss tournaments with time controls of 40/75 followed by SD/15.

Yudasin & Norowitz Win Anniversary Tourney
GM Leonid Yudasin & SM Yaacov Norowitz shared 1st place in Chess Mates' Anniversary Tournament, with 3.5/4. IM Justin Sarkar, FM Arthur Shen & NM Jim West tied for 3rd, a half-point back.
Sarkar & Shen split the U2400 money. Anna Matlin was awarded the U2200 prize. The U2000 spoils were divided among Praveen Balakrishnan, Eve Zhurbinskiy, Jason Fredericks and Roger Pedersen.
Sameer Mujumdar directed, with assistance from John Moldovan & Pedersen.
